Week 15 Final and reflection

What I learnt today is that no matter how different are group was and how different our ideas were we could come together in the end and make beautiful outcomes. It is really an important fact to note down that last minute works often end up kicking your butt. Looking at the way others worked, i felt really proud of my group at what they achieved. It was different since almost many of the groups did games. It set ours apart from the rest. However, i wasn’t sure if our message got through to the audience entirely, if i had to say that we needed to work on something as a group then i would say it is communicating the idea we want to communicate better. Because the key role of graphic design is to share ideas and change the world and fix the wrongs and make them pleasing to the eye. But if we have ideas and if we want to create and innovate then that won’t really be possible if a designer lacks the ability of completely getting through to the audience. I did like how most of the people did get what we were trying to talk about without us having to explain anything. Most groups had to give instructions or directions but ours simply had to get the people gathered around. The strategically placed tv invited everyone to it. Neither of us mentioned that everyone had to gather around the TV. But it was the way it was set. Another designer skill. To be able to make someone understand without actually explaining is what makes a design successful. Doubts and questions create confusion and confusion never really ha ever been successful. In my person opinion, our group somehow put into action the saying “Less is more” We did not have a huge set up, neither did we have too many things place or hung around. They were really tiny scaled objects in comparison to the walls and the overall space. But this assignment helped me realise thats pace isn’t always all that bad. sometimes space is good. it is more inviting.  A great end to the semester. A great project to end the semester with.
